When I was just starting my warcraft 3 career (btw it didn't last too long), I would occasionally hear or read about some super powerful tactic that is imba and a no-brainer and lets you win everything. So when I actually tried such a tactic and got brutally owned, I was very surprised.
W3 taught me that most of the time even a great advantage does not mean you can defeat another player simply by somehow using it. It means that if you are exactly the same skill as your opponent, you have a slightly bigger chance of winning.
Any hard-tought lessons like mine?
It's something that I never got into...
ReplyDeleteI've learned a few lessons the hard way

ReplyDeleteHaha, I've had that happen to me a few times in games. I get pissed off and never play it again.
ReplyDeleteI was terrible at Warcraft 3 : /
ReplyDeletei loved playing td during class
ReplyDeleteI tried playing Dragon Age 2 but don't have the patience to mess about crafting runes and whatnot. RPG's are time consuming and overly complicated for my taste.
ReplyDeleteAll I remember learning from Warcraft III is to always protect your peons. I'd get wrecked by people who rushed to air units and flew behind my base before I had towers/bunkers ready.
ReplyDeleteNAh, I played it straight all the time, there was never an option to try shit like that ever for me
